Perception of Wonder

The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for destruction. – Rachel Carson

There is so much to see, hear, smell, sense in the Universe that one lifetime is not enough. There is so much to appreciate, enjoy and wonder about! I am not talking about the seven wonders. I am talking about adopting the perception of wonder.

As Ray Bradbury says: We are an impossibility in an impossible universe. Our birth and entire existence seems so wonderful! We cannot sit and create a human with tools and equipments. It SEEMS impossible. But, we all witness its possibility.

And the more we will learn to observe and see wonders in the Universe, the more we will have faith in the possibility of everything which we presumed to be impossible, including World Peace.

As a matter of fact, World Peace is not something we have to bring about or create. We just need to stop disturbing it with destructive thoughts and actions. And the solution is simple: Shifting the focus from anything else and keeping it on the wonders and beauty and inexhaustible variety of existence. It’s the same as appreciating God.

Healing the World

In every community, there is work to be done. In every nation, there are wounds to heal. In every heart, there is the power to do it. – Marianne Williamson

Howsoever big or deep the wounds may be, the power of love and peace can cure everything. It is the allowing and not withholding of which can do the healing. We should allow love to flow incessantly. Blocking it creates pain.

We shouldn’t be afraid to express love. Love is what we are born with. It cannot be exhausted. Fear is what we learned from the society after our birth. And its antidote is present right in our hearts…in our ability to love.

Peace, like happiness, is a choice. Peace is equally powerful as love. A decision to choose peace and express love can bring about miraculous healings.

To conclude, I would pray as Marianne Williamson does: Dear God, please send me the Spirit of Your Peace. Then send, dear Lord, the spirit of peace to all the world. Amen.

Have a peaceful and loving week ahead. God is present in peace. God is present in love.

Enjoy The World

If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day. – E.B. White

This is thought provoking. How should we really live?

Aha! Got the answer. We would feel torn if we considered ‘improving the world’ and ‘enjoying the world’ to be separate desires or goals. Unless and until we accept the world as it is and until we think that it is good, we cannot improve it. ‘Cause only good can become better. Bad can get worse.

We cannot improve the world by finding flaws with it. Our perspective has to be one that sees things as good and then locates the areas which can be developed further. So, enjoying the world is the first step to improving the world.

I intend to enjoy the world from this moment on. Are you joining me? God is already on board! 🙂
