Sensitive

To feel intensely is not a symptom of weakness, it is the trademark of the truly alive and compassionate. – Anthon St. Maarten

Sensitivity is a great quality. Those who can understand with hearts are truly alive. In my opinion, faith and sensitivity go hand in hand. Those who lack faith in the Divine are fearful, insecure…always scared.

They are so busy securing their lives, rights, possessions and interests that they can hardly sense the pains and pleasures of fellow humans. They are very suspicious. They are the ones who criticize everything that doesn’t suit them. They have lost the ability to see beyond appearances.

My words may sound judgmental. But, the aim is not to judge. The aim is to remind…as Dr. Hew Len says: If you can feel it, you can heal it.

If we think that the world is in a bad shape and needs to change, we need to understand the problems. And understanding is impossible without sensitivity. We need to listen to people open mindedly. We need to learn to analyze our patterns or thoughts which disallow us to be more accommodating and helping.

What do we truly aspire? Is it not peace and harmony? Is it not love and joy? Is it not health and prosperity for all? We may get a sense of satisfaction to accomplish our personal goals and dreams. But, when everyone becomes part of the prosperity, we are truly fulfilled.

Sometimes I think, I need a spare heart to feel all the things I feel.- Sanober Khan, A Thousand Flamingos

Let us live. Let us be sensitive. It’s Divine.

Expectations

Expect your every need to be met. Expect the answer to every problem, expect abundance on every level. – Eileen Caddy

Expectation is a word we have been trained to stay away from. It is indeed a cause of suffering in many situations. But, there was a proviso we might have forgotten to read.

Expectations of good(in our opinion) behaviour from everyone, expectation that everything in the world should be as we want, expectation that nothing will ever fail,…these are the kinds of expectations which are, in fact, bound to fail. Consequent disappointment is the cause of misery.

But, if we perceive and accept the present as good and then expect it to get better, it will get better. The problem lies in rejecting the current reality as bad and then expecting it to improve.

Expectation is not bad in itself. In fact, it is not bad at all. Resisting the present causes unhappiness.

We must expect to receive the best of everything the Universe has to offer. God awaits that expectation.

Dreams are inevitable..

So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.-Christopher Reeve.

Every dream needs a period of incubation. During this period, all we need to do is patiently allow the dream to blossom. As we focus our attention and mental energy on the dream, it reveals its potential. We can sense its form and then start believing in its probability.

The moment we can see even one percent probability, our mind gets flooded with ideas to make it manifest. Every dream deserves at least some contemplation. We should never shun anything outrightly.

A dream is like a seed. Let it take roots in your fertile mind and provide it with positive environment…an environment of belief. Water it with passion. Manure it with enthusiasm. All these together form a strong Will to act and accomplish the dream.

God keeps inspiring us to take the right action. The instincts to act may be novel to us. But, we must not doubt them. Old ways of acting are of little use in reaching new horizons. We need to invent new means. We need to create new paths. And then achievement becomes inevitable.

Coincidence

You must have heard this: Everything happens for a reason. We accept this. But, sometimes we cannot know or find out the reasons behind a course of incidents. We do not even understand the correlation between the incidents. ‘Cause these are the things beyond our intelligence.

Things seem to happen coincidentally. But, those are actually connected. Carl Jung called this ‘the Principle of Synchronicity’, an acausal connecting principle. According to Dr. Deepak Chopra, when we start encountering more and more meaningful coincidences in our lives we are moving towards enlightenment (Synchrodestiny).

To quote Dr. Wayne Dyer, when two angles coincide they make a perfect triangle. Hence, the so called coincidences are actually designed to bring perfection in our lives. We just need to notice them as such and not ignore or shun them as being accidental.

If we start noticing them, we will see the proof of our prayers being granted, our visualizations manifesting, our dreams accomplishing. Faith will then replace worry. Observation will replace thinking. Patience will replace desperation. Joy will replace struggling.

Let us spend more time this weekend in finding meaningful connections in seemingly separate events. Let the Supreme Intelligence take charge.

Nature teaches

“Water does not resist. Water flows.
Water always goes where it wants to go. Water is patient. Dripping water wears away a stone. Remember, you are half water. If you can’t go through an obstacle, go around it. Water does.” – Margaret Atwood, The Penelopiad

If you can’t go through….I liked this! Neither resisting nor fighting with a problem can help us solve it. A water-like patience can wear the problem away.

The true power of water is in its flexibility, its softness. We can go through water and we also love its touch. Water nurtures. Water caresses. Water cleans. Water also heals.

Water is not hard, it’s not stubborn. It is persevering. If we try to stop it, it will first try to percolate through. If it can’t, it will change its course and move on. If it can’t, it will corrode the obstructing material. If it can’t, it will break through. Water moves silently or melodiously. It roars only when it has gathered strength to break through.

This is how nature teaches us. Let us unfold some more lessons. Nature is the path to God.

Godlike Patience

Why is patience so important?
Because it makes us pay attention. – Paulo Coelho.

Insightful!

All of us have heard that patience is a bitter plant, but it has a sweet fruit. We have heard and we say…keep patience..have patience. But, patience does not mean mere waiting.

Patience is an opportunity to focus. Patience means knowing the purpose of waiting. Patience means a healthy attitude towards circumstances.

With this understanding patience doesn’t remain bitter; it becomes curiosity, hope, enthusiasm…it becomes a sweet fruit in itself. It allows us to enjoy the journey. We can shift our attention from the reward and keep it on the process.

In this way, patience doesn’t merely bring sweeter results for us. It brings a wonderful byproduct than the end result. It makes our being more beautiful. Without patience, spiritual growth is an illusion. With patience, it becomes a certainty.

Let us demonstrate Godlike patience to discover the precious gifts of life.

Let God

When a man forgets himself, he usually does something everybody else remembers. – James Coco – 1930-1987, Actor
This is so striking! Each and every thing we consider worth remembering had bloomed from the moment of merger….merger of the doer, the thing done and the source of inspiration. There was no separation. In fact, the doer was not really doing but simply allowing.

There was no concern for the outcome. There was no thought about the reward. The engrossing was so rewarding, so fulfilling, that the end result did not attract any focus. The end result was awe-inspiring for those who saw it. The end result contributed in the history of civilisation.

Love and passion allow us to merge with the doing. The ‘I’ disappears and the creation takes a magnificent form. Remember to forget yourself more often. Let Go and Let God.
