Deal with your past. Do not bury it. If you have any painful memories, allow them to come up on the conscious surface. Deal with them one by one. Analyse them. Notice your feelings as you do so. Identify the feelings. Tell yourself that you no longer need the feelings which you experienced then.
Whether positive or negative, feelings serve a purpose for us. We can sense the energies in and around us. We can locate the direction in which our thoughts are moving. The feelings we felt in the past might have revealed something which needed our attention or might have allowed us to make certain decisions. Thereafter we should have moved on without carrying the feelings with us. But, most of us carry them unconsciously. It is never too late. Deal with them now. Heal the feelings and release them. Have a healed life ahead !
