Relax!

The time to relax is when you do not have time for it. – Anonymous. This is absolutely true. Friends, when we are doing a lot of things or when we are busy with any important project or venture, we must find time to relax. If we continue working because our body seems to support, the efficiency graph gradually goes downward. Our concentration, grasping, effectiveness in thinking, speed..all start to diminish. But, how can we remember to take a break or relax if we are engrossed in doing?

I will tell you a simple trick. The moment you catch yourself saying or feeling something like…’Oh! How could I forget this’…or ‘I am not getting any fresh idea’… this is the moment to remember that you need to relax your mind as well as your body. Take a small break and do that what truly relaxes you. Especially, choose something that will replenish your emotional energy because emotional energy fuels both – mind and body. It can be anything from singing to cooking, or stretching to sketching..It can be simply listening to sounds in nature or it can be meditating.

But, I would suggest a couple of things which are sure to relax you. One is deep breathing and another is progressive muscle relaxation technique(PMRT). There are some more relaxers, such as: playing with a kid or a pet, watching a cartoon or a funny video, gulping an icecream, taking a short nap and even counting our blessings..! 🙂

Be the Star you are born to be.

When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.- Ralph Waldo Emerson. Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes life seems bleak and dark. We think we cannot see any light…any ray of hope. But, that very moment may help us find the tiny sparkles of our being. It may help us look within and see the potential of shining like a star. No. I am not just giving false hope. I mean it. I first started believing this when I read Marriane Williamson’s poem: Our deepest fears are not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It proved to be a paradigm shifting poem for me. And I urge you to shift your perspective from helplessness to empowerment…from hopelessness to enthusiasm…from limitation to crossing horizons.

Explore your inner realm. Locate the seeds of stardom inside you. And bring them to life. You are ‘born with’ unique qualities, talents and potentials. And you are ‘born to’ utilize them thoroughly. Make the first move NOW..

Collect every drop of Love

Most of us are collectors. We collect songs. We collect stamps. We collect artefacts. We collect antiques. We collect even pets. The list can go on. Right? There is no harm in collecting all this. The problem starts with attachment and identification. We get so identified with our collections that the smallest threat of losing them, can flare us up.

But, I am not writing all this to discourage you from collecting. In fact, I would encourage you to live and enjoy what you desire. Just start collecting one thing more and more every day. Collect each and every drop when someone showers you with love. Harness them. Preserve them. Cherish them. Let this be your biggest collection. I guarantee you that it will serve as your biggest strength. It will be your most valuable asset. It will be your greatest achievement.

And the most amazing part comes now. You can harness as much love as you desire even when you give love. As Ken Keyes says… Love and peace are not only your goals — they are also the methods you use to get to the goals. By deciding to become love, give love and receive love, you will experience God’s presence because God is nothing but Love.

Laughter is an instant vacation.

Laughter is an instant vacation.
Milton Berle – 1908-2002, Comedian

I just loved this quote. Whether you need a long vacation or a holiday or a short break…it will commence with one moment. If that moment is a moment of laughter, it will give you an instantaneous feel of that break. It will relax you completely and leisure can then usher in. And what a start it would be ! As the subsequent moments keep joining, you will experience the unfoldment of greater and greater joy.

The only care we need to take is not to allow the moment of laughter to remain a singular moment. Let it take along every next moment and roll on…let it gain momentum. And our living will become a lavish funfilled vacation.

Life For Me

What is life for you? Is it love, fun, joy, or adventure? Is it service, art, expression, or devotion? There may be a lot more ways of looking at life. It can differ from person to person as we are all unique beings.
For me, life is an Experiment. Not that I knew it since my childhood days. I just discovered it while playing a word association game with a friend. She said life. I said experiment. She looked puzzled. But, for me all puzzles were resolved. In hindsight, I realized how this perspective had been the primary cause in unfolding my life the way it did.
It was a great realization. It explained even those events which seemed to have come out of the blue. It was crystal clear.
I was overjoyed when I read a quote:
“Life is trying things to see if they work.”— Ray Bradbury. It resonates so much with my way of living.
Two more prominent aspects for me are creativity and learning. These were the obvious outcomes of my experiments with life. To experiment, I had to be creative. And after every experiment I learned something. Till date, I am learning. And that is the motto of my life, too.: Live to Learn and You Will Learn to Live.
I have been precautious sometimes. But, mostly it was following the intuition and inspiration. God has been extremely kind to guide, support and even protect me during this wonderful phenomenon called life. Every moment looks like the journey as well as the destination. It is truly amazing.
I am filled with gratitude. Love you, God !

Without freedom, there is no creation. – Jiddu Krishnamurti

Without freedom, there is no creation. – J. Krushnamurti. What is meant by freedom here? Is anyone else really stopping us from using our most precious faculty..Creativity? Actually, it is our own set of thoughts, beliefs and perceptions about ourselves which curb our immense power of creation. As Gerald G. Jampolsky puts it: “A truly creative person rids him or herself of all self-imposed limitations.” Hence, before we create even a tiny thing we need to keep creating new and innovative ways of thinking about our own potential as well as the immense possibilities of innovation. If we are able to imagine something and yet it is nonexistent, it means we have not desired the thing enough. Couple your creativity with strong desires to produce the results. Fall in love with your desires. Do not let anyone question your desires. Let creativity be the hallmark of your personality. God, our co-creator, is always with us and in all ways. 🤗

Heal the feelings…

Deal with your past. Do not bury it. If you have any painful memories, allow them to come up on the conscious surface. Deal with them one by one. Analyse them. Notice your feelings as you do so. Identify the feelings. Tell yourself that you no longer need the feelings which you experienced then.

Whether positive or negative, feelings serve a purpose for us. We can sense the energies in and around us. We can locate the direction in which our thoughts are moving. The feelings we felt in the past might have revealed something which needed our attention or might have allowed us to make certain decisions. Thereafter we should have moved on without carrying the feelings with us. But, most of us carry them unconsciously. It is never too late. Deal with them now. Heal the feelings and release them. Have a healed life ahead !
